Ranks

Ranks on the Dogcraft server are tags appended before usernames used to identify certain groups of players, including members of the Staff Team and Patreons. Some ranks grant special privileges to members (such as moderator tools for Server Moderators); others are purely cosmetic. Aside from the automatically-applied ones, Server Administrators are the only users capable of assigning players ranks. Several ranks correspond to a role on the Dogcraft Discord

The default rank for new players is [Unlinked], but players are automatically assigned the [CyberDog] rank when they successfully complete account linking.

Server Staff Ranks
	[EnderGod]	The [EnderGod] rank is blue. It is held by: Renthedog (ReNDoG), the server owner, and Renthecat, Ironboundred's alternate account used for testing purposes.
	[HeadMod]	The [HeadMod] rank is light green, representing Server Head Moderators.
	[Admin]	The [Admin] rank is dark purple, representing Server Administrators.
	[Mod]	The [Mod] rank is dark red and stands for Moderator, representing Server Moderators.
	[ChatMod]	The [ChatMod] rank is light red, representing Chat Moderators.
Misc. Staff Ranks
	[WebAdmin]	The [WebAdmin] rank is a light purple color. It is held by the Website Admin  OD18 exclusively, as other Site Administrators have higher ranks.
	[Events]	The [Events] rank is gold. It is held by members of the Dogcraft Creative Team, a branch of the staff team responsible for planning and organising public builds and events for the server. This is currently an invisible rank, given that all players holding it also have higher roles.
	[DisHeadMod]	The [DisHeadMod] rank is yellow with green brackets. It is held by the Discord Head Mods to help identify them, though does not have any moderation duties or powers on the server.
	[DisMod]	The [DisMod] rank is yellow with light red brackets. It is held by Discord Mods to identify them, though does not have any moderation duties or powers on the server. Discord staff who are also server staff assume their server rank instead of this role.
	[Staff]	The [Staff] rank is light blue and is exclusively held by the Patreon Head Moderator. Originally created to identify  j0n_r4ng after he resigned as Server Head Mod, the role was later expanded, before this practice was retired. Prior to December 2020 and the creation of the [WebAdmin] role,  OD18 also held this in-game.
Patreon Ranks
	[DiamondPatreon]	The Diamond Patreon rank is automatically assigned to players who have linked their Dogcraft, Minecraft and Patreon accounts and have pledged up to the Diamond Tier reward level on ReNDoG's Patreon. Holders of this role are also automatically whitelisted on the Patreon Server.
	[EmeraldPatreon]	The Emerald Patreon rank is automatically assigned to players who have linked their Dogcraft, Minecraft and Patreon accounts and have pledged up to the Emerald Tier reward level on ReNDoG's Patreon. Holders of this role are also automatically whitelisted on the Patreon Server.
	[GoldPatreon]	The Gold Patreon rank is automatically assigned to players who have linked their Dogcraft, Minecraft and Patreon accounts and have pledged up to the Gold Tier reward level on ReNDoG's Patreon.
	[IronPatreon]	The Iron Patreon rank is automatically assigned to players who have linked their Dogcraft, Minecraft and Patreon accounts and have pledged up to the Iron Tier reward level on ReNDoG's Patreon.
Other Ranks
	[Helper]	The [Helper] tag is light red with cyan brackets. It is held by a collection of typically 3 people at a time (known as Helpers) who are appointed by the Server Head Moderators, based on staff suggestions, to assist players with server functions such as commands, linking and answering questions. However, helpers are not officially members of the Dogcraft staff team and do not have any additional powers or privileges. Helpers are only appointed for one month before a new set of people are appointed.
	[VIP]	The [VIP] rank is gold in color. It is held by only a few people, who supported ReNDoG with donations before he used Patreon for this. It has also been given out on rare occasions as thanks to certain Cyberdogs for their contributions to the community. The rank can not be generally acquired by others anymore.
	[Pioneer]	The [Pioneer] rank is light blue. It is held by a small group of people and was given out in two waves. The first wave of people to receive the rank were beta-testers for the server in the time the server was whitelisted and being tested, between the 28th of September to the 14th of November, 2015. The second wave of people to receive the rank were given it on the 2nd of August, 2019, who were given the rank for assistance in testing the server update to Minecraft 1.14: Village & Pillage. Testing was done for this version as the server changed its setup to rely on a different proxy service. Players involved in this 1.14 testing in their capacity of Staff Members were not granted the Pioneer rank.

Retired Ranks

Staff

The [Staff] rank was first created after former head moderator resigned from his position. For a while he was the only one to hold the rank, until all non-server staff (who were discord moderators, discord admins, and the patreon headmod, since at that time, a website staffteam was almost nonexistent) and former headmods were granted it in late 2018. The rank was later disolved entierly with the separation of the server and discord teams in late December 2019. Prior to the creation of [WebAdmin],  OD18 held this role until December 2020. The [Staff] rank was light blue, and was not a moderatorial role on the server.

Patreon

Prior to Survival 4, all Patreons were represented by the [Patreon] rank, regardless of their Patreon level.

Swedish Potato

The [Swedish Potato] rank was held exclusively by fellow Hermitcraft YouTuber and streamer, Iskall85. The rank was confirmed to exist by Head Moderator [ SummerFlower1234 ], though few players can recall actually seeing it as Iskall last logged onto the server for mini-games a long time ago. According to SummerFlower, the rank tag is light blue like the [Staff] and [Pioneer] tags and simply says "Swedish Potato". The rank was likely purely cosmetic. As of Survival 4, moderator tools have found that this rank no longer exists.
