South Line (Survival 3)
Base
World[[]]

The South Line of the SRN leads South from Spawn and Grand Central Station, connecting in order to South, Coconut, Snowman, Barrier, and Neon Stations.

The long-term goal for the line is to connect to South Border Station, with stations situated approximately every 1500 blocks apart. Branch lines to Lakewood and Toltec Towers depart from Coconut and Snowman Stations respectively, with a line to the Dogcraft Ice Boat League under construction from South Station, and a connection from Snowman Station to the SW Winter Line in advanced planning.

South Line is the only SRN line to have had two managers. Marbou9 oversaw the construction of the line all the way to Snowman Station before handing the baton over to Mrs_Diss, who finished construction of Snowman Station and brought the line all the way to Neon Station.

South Station

South Station stands on a steep cliff overlooking the spawn ocean. It is built in the style of a pagoda, with red terracotta walls and cobblestone roofs wrapping around the main building on every floor. Its imposing height and position atop a cliff give it an almost fortresslike appearance. An annex in the same style was later added by Mrs_Diss to provide space for branch line connections.

Coconut Station

Coconut Station lies on an island a small distance from the mainland. It is an airy open construction with a leafy pergola roof, reflecting the implied warm climate. Adjoining the station stands the SRN Spleef Arena. Like South Station, Coconut Station also later received an annex to provide space for branch lines.

Snowman Station

As its name implies, Snowman Station takes the form of a gigantic snowman standing on a hilltop in a large tundra biome, with the main and branch line platforms situated within its belly. Paradoxically, the inside of the station is formed of a tropical beach, with palm trees and a population of turtles surrounding a warm lagoon. The branch line to Toltec Towers opened just days after the station itself was opened, and was the first ever branch line on the South Line, over all 3 survival worlds.

Barrier Station

Barrier Station lies on the coast by a small natural harbor, with a coral reef visible offshore, from which it takes its name. It is formed of a central square with low opensided buildings housing the platforms arranged around it. A sailing ship moored at the jetty provides the required phantom shelter, while a lighthouse on the other side of the bay guides passing ships to port.

Neon Station

A futuristic industrial plant out of black concrete with bright neon accents, Neon Station stands within a large heavily terraformed wasteland, surrounded by dark oak forests. Pipes out of black concrete and glass stretch for hundreds of blocks, pumping ressources such as ice, lava and iskallium from the surrounding countryside into storage tanks.

South Border Station

Built by Brogaman and rising like a netherbrick tree out of the ocean, South Border Station is the ultimate destination of the South Line. At time of writing it is still separated from the rail line by over 12000 blocks, but it represents the scale and ambition of the SRN project.
